It's a story about Giving Back.

On Monday and Wednesday, I've been volunteering at the Manchester Tech Festival, the community that welcomed me into the tech scene in Manchester with open arms.

Tracing back to 7 months ago, I arrived here in Manchester, fresh off the plane, knowing literally no one and nothing. I told myself that to re-launch my life here, I must first get to know more about the people and the career path I had chosen to pursue in my new life.

Hence, I joined my first MTF activity.

On my way to the venue, I was nervous, sweating so much that my shirt was dripping wet, as I knew absolutely no one and didn't know what or who I was going to face.

Fortunately, after a few minutes at the event, all my nervousness drifted away, replaced by warmth and love, which is crucial for a newbie.

Being welcomed and offered expert-level insights is not something anyone can take for granted, and I truly appreciate the effort of the whole organizing board for nurturing such a friendly and loving environment.

Hence, I decided to give back. Volunteering for two days may not be a lot, but I wish to be the one who gives warm welcoming smile to others, with any effort that I can provide.

For the tech enthusiasts who are searching for a friendly #community to #prosper together, Manchester Tech Festival is the place to go. They regularly host events for us to upgrade ourselves, or just to have some laughs.
